  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Lots of clearance (1/2" on front and more on back). Picture would be better with direct sun light, but that's hard to come by in November.

Nice!
I think am gonna put my snow shoes on Saturday, once I get back from the trip

Just curious did you have to have the dealership activate the tpms sensors in the winter tires or did they just auto register with the cars computer. I just put a set of snow tires on my rspec but have a tpms light and am curious if this is because the car is looking for the old tpms sensors and does not know to look for the new ones.

I'm cold just looking at that.

Most likely, You don't have the sensors in your tires.

A Hyundai dealer will have to activate the TPMS. It's a good $$-maker for them. I just drive with the warning lights on.

I loved my Blizzaks - they were great, and my tpms registered automatically when I put them on. When I retired I sold them to a forum member here - shifting them around and storing them got to be a pain in the neck. Now when it snows I just don't go out. There are pics in my album.

No. I paid Tire Rack $39 a corner for sensors. I took it out for a 5 mile test drive last night and no sensors came on.

By the way, these are the 18" wheels and tires.

you got to feel for those in Buffalo, NY area.
None of these gears gonna help or have a chance!
I had my fair share back in my younger years in New England (northern Mass/southern N.H.) area.

Love my Blizzaks after only a few days. Nice solid feel. A wee bit noisy but thats okay, as long as they grip the snow and ice, I can live with that. Our Canadian RSpecs dont have TPMS, probably cause Canadian Hyundai realizes that many would put on snow tires, and don't need the hassle with that TPMS light.

Wheels look great. Mine are gunmetal 18"

How much did that set up run you, if you don't mind me asking?

Be easy on those Blizzaks or you'll only get one or two seasons out of them, their soft and we have hefty cars!

All in, $1692. That includes freight, the TPMS and an extra $39 per wheel from the cheapest wheels.

I've had Blizzacks before. In the winter, I just don't use as much power as in the summer--------you never know what's just ahead. Or what the idiot next to you or meeting you is about to do in less than ideal conditions.

And I was led to believe that the 2013 Rspecs were only available in Black, Titanium Gray (the fastest colour), Silver and White. Maybe only in Canada. Looks good!

Just tires alone? I have used Blizzaks before (on another vehicle) and they are great. Where I live snow comes and goes fairly quickly. The Blizzaks wore out extremely quickly since the snow melted so quickly (and them being so soft). I opted for Pirelli Scorpion Winters for $1000 this year.

Actually the Cabernet Red is the fastest. It's so much ahead of the other "ordinary" colors that it hard to catch sight of one!! :D

It was a mid model year color addition in 2013, but dropped again in 2014.

No-----that included the wheels, the TPMS, shipping etc. Again, all in.

:welcome: to the site. lol
Obviously, the cabernet red has blinded you to the truth. I checked it out online, and it said that the Titanium Gray was indeed the fastest, accomplishing 0-60 in 4.8 secs., as opposed to the red, which does the same in 5.3 secs.

Right Dereck?

Getting mild here on Sunday, and a few days early next week. Can actually climb above 50F, so not much use for the Blizzaks, but it'll snow a plenty here, and soon.

I have an appointment (11am) tomorrow at the Discount Tires to swap and balance my winter wheels .....the good thing is, when I was there replacing the hub cups with the wing ones, I paid extra for a lifetime rotation/balance....so it'll be free of charge! :p

The far more serious issue here is the obvious delirium over color and speed which is probably caused by the faster black R-Specs passing those with other colors- especially the black ones using Michelin X-Ice3s and non-oxygenated premium. :D
