  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have 2015 Genesis 3.8 Sedan and less than a month after I leased the car, the screen goes blank about 3-4 times a week. I have to turn the car off and back on again for it to work. The funny part is that the radio works and I can change stations, but can't see a thing on the screen, not even backup camera.

Just recently found this forum and taking car to dealer tomorrow for its first service so I will have them check it out, but has anyone else had this problem and did you figure out what was the issue?

Thank you!

I would recommend you take some video of the situation when it occurs. Video with sound would be better. If the problem only occurs occasionally, and the dealer cannot reproduce the problem when you arrive, you are not going to be a happy camper. The dealer is not going to want to drive the drive the car for a day or two trying to recreate the problem.

+1 to what Mark_888 said

I too was dealing with the same situation with one of my previous cars and the dealer couldn't duplicate the problem, so I just took a video of it everytime it occurred and showed them exactly what was happening.

Have you tried to push the reset button yet, to see if that will help? Also which package do you have on your Genesis?

I did take a couple of videos with sound and showed the dealer. When I picked up the car they said they tried to duplicate and could not, but they did reset the system to see if that would help. It has been a week and so far so good.

I have the standard package, no bells and whistles.

Thank you for everyone's input and I will keep you posted if it starts happening again!
