  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The long way around…

Several months ago I started looking to replace my Mazda. I was initially drawn to the Infinity Q50 and spent weeks scouring the used car apps to see what was available. Fortunately, I joined some FB Q50 groups and quickly learned that they have turbo issues. Several Q owners wished they purchased a G70, so I started looking anround and after sitting in a G70, I realized the back seat is not big enough for my needs. I naturally progressed to the G80. Yesterday I flew to Minnesota and drove my 2018 G80 back to Texas. It’s an awesome car.

Good choice. What trim level? Nice first drive too, most travelled weekend.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Genesis G80! I'm glad you found us... Which Mazda did you replace?

A 2012 Mazda 3i touring. The 2.0 SkyActiv is a great engine and serves its purpose well. I’m having to retrain my right foot… I don’t have to push the pedal to the floor to get around someone in the G80. LOL

Yes, indeed, a lot of people are impressed with the SkyActiv engine - though not for its "power". :p :ROFLMAO:
