My wife and I recently purchased a beautiful 2021 GV80. When we purchased the vehicle, the previous owner had somehow locked up some of the features on the touch screen entertainment system. It was such a hassle, the dealer decided to just give us a brand new entertainment system including a new XM radio. They installed and after completing some software updates, everything is working except the radio ID shown on the Genesis App is wrong one. The Genesis App is still showing the old Radio ID that was removed from vehicle. XM radio has updated their system and the radio is working just fine in the vehicle. The problem is the wrong radio ID is shown on the app. Genesis Customer Care says its a XM radio problem and XM Radio says its a Genesis problem. I have a case number and have escalated it to corporate (at least I think it has been escalated).
Am I the only one that has had a new XM radio installed? Has anyone else installed a new Radio ID for XM? Does your app show the old ID or the new? Genesis tech support seems lost with how to fix a simple app issue.
