  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There should be a list of bad dealers and good dealers.

It seems like many people are getting ripped off and/or receiving bad service at many dealers. At the same time, I see people writing about good dealer experiences.

I think we should make a list of Bad and Good Hyundai Dealers in the USA.

This will help future customers go to the good ones.

Agreed. Edmunds and Yelp are both good sources to get a review of any given dealership, but not every one will have been reviewed, and since the Genesis is a new animal for Hyundai, what goes for other models might not always transfer over directly.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Would the moderators allow negative posts about dealerships? Possibly, if it was kept clean. But then you may have to worry about backlash from those dealers you bad mouth. Some of them are on this forum regularly! They may not say who they are, but they are here.

I can't speak for the mods, but I've seen posts detailing negative experiences where a dealership was identified, so I'm guessing that aside from profane or inflammatory posts there isn't any censorship going on here.

Furthermore, in this day and age I feel that it is basically just good citizenship to post honest reviews of consumer experiences, especially ones that stand out, be they good or bad.

I know that my consumer experiences have benefited greatly from reviews that people have written, and I trust that my reviews have, in turn, helped others.

Keith Hawthorn Hyundai in Charlotte was great to deal with. Got a lower interest rate than expected, all staff was great, they seem to have a good time there (funny pages for phone calls, nicknames...). Just an all around good place.

It would be more helpful to identify dealers on this forum.
I'm often frustrated when posters take the time to describe especially good or bad experiences with dealers, but never let us know who they're talking about. Complimenting your dealer doesn't help him or us if we don't know who he is and can't give him our business...

Agreed! And that's what the forum is for...

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I've posted in the Dealership Experiences forum, but it gets very little traffic. Seems to be much more convenient for posters to mention the dealer when they're posting here. If anything, it's courtesy to the both the reader and the dealer... Why not?

I'd like to keep things organized the way they are. If a member wants dealer reviews, he/she knows where to find them without searching through the archives. More often than not, people are not looking for this type of information - that's why the forum doesn't get a lot of traffic. That and the fact that this forum is still "new".

So please keep dealer reviews where I've determined they should go.

Thank you.

True. Aside from stupid, degrading, and thoughtless posts, we want you to share your experiences with everybody!

I would much rather learn from someone else's mistake than my own (for example: my fog light issue)...especially dealer issues.

So...in essence, if I ran a Hyundai dealership I would be keeping a CLOSE EYE on forums regarding my product. Also, if I noticed a red flag by my name you had better believe that I would straighten things out!!

So I think it is a good thing. Dealers need to know if they are running people off. 1 bad apple will bugger up the whole bunch.

We have several dealers on here and a few have even been called out...and they know it...however, I am surprised some of them havent posted to straighten things out. I guess they are doing the RIGHT THING by using PRIVATE MESSAGES!!

anywho, this thread has been moved to DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCES;)
