  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This one was racism, so the moderator said. The last one was closed because I put a link to it on the Genesis Forum. Looks a little bit 'touchy' to me. I find it interesting because there is a lot of Hyundai talk on the Lexus Forum. Not too much Lexus talk on the Genesis forum.:D

Why not just delete the one 'offending' post, instead of closing the entire innocuous thread? - There are a few folks there, that just do not want to hear any good news from Hyundai!

Looks like they opened it back up

Seems like a great way for any random person to end any conversation they choose to. Just insert something against the rules, BAM, thread over.

Isn't the Lexus Forum set-up for discussions about Lexus?

Nope, not in the car chat forum!

As defined:

Car Chat (340 Viewing)
General discussion about Lexus, other auto manufacturers and automotive news.

Apparently another board member saw it my way and deleted the offending post and re-opened the thread.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Well, now I have been banned from the Lexus Car Chat Forum. My Offense was to put a link to the Hyundai thread in the Hyundai forum. This was not even my thread. I've done it a couple times and they couldn't stand it anymore. Which to me seems a little strange.

I wonder if the owner of the Lexus Forum knows that someone has been banned by putting a link to his forum on another forum. Don't they get paid by attracting users to their forum by advertisers?

Annnnnd... they threaten to ban me for not -ignoring- racist comments earlier in the thread, and mentioning that there is still some racist feelings about Korean cars evident. Yes, talking about -other people- having broken their absurd rules is enough to break the rules there.

Nazis....

historically, racism toward Koreans from Japanese has always been evident. Now that H is building cars that may be better overall than many Jap manufacturers, certainly Mitsu, Im not surprised.

It's their problem, if it irks enough of their users their traffic will drop, along with their advertising revenue which is based on hits.

The car chat at CL can get really blind at times. You can chat about cars as long as Lexus is held in the highest esteem even if it doesn't deserve it. I have been a member there for years and cant deal with the bias and the blindness. Its really funny to listen to them defend Lexus and Toyota and how they attack anyone who says anything negative about Lexus or Toyota. Man you don't even have to say anything negative. As long as you are not blowing smoke up the rear of Lexus you are going to be attacked.

Cut throat I feel your frustration.
