  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello all, like the title says I figured I’d hop on a forum and ask the guys who know these cars.

So it’s a 2012 3.8 r-spec with 105k miles and the guy is asking 6k flat. He says after about an hour of driving the car it overheats. Funny thing is I’ve seen the car driving around locally on two separate occasions. The first time we were at a stop light and I had to comment to the owner how damn good it sounded and he said it was for sale.

Anyway, is this a major mechanical issue like a head gasket or just something simple like a thermostat. What are some things I can check. I am mechanically inclined but I don’t know these cars, any advice would be great. I’m going to look at it tomorrow morning. Thanks!
