  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

As long as I can remember I generally bought the same brand When I picked up cars for myself and my wife. The last set was a SC 430 and an LS 430. Having been so impressed with my 2012 V6 I tried every Hyundai But could not find a car that fit. Damn you Hyundai build a convertable!!

I already have enough skin cancer issues. I'll take this instead.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1370397393.907562.webp

Is that a rear-engine? I noticed the side vents on the rear door.

My wife has the 2012 C70 Inscription and LOVES it!
Enjoy!

Hi, I believe the picture of the rear engined car is a Renault Dauphine..
Imported to the UK around the early to mid 1950's..
As stated a real handful to drive and they rotted as you looked at them..
They were used as a fleet car by the first Unlicensed taxi company in the UK.
You had to phone and book a pickup at an address, they where not allowed to pick up passengers from the street.. But You All Know That Story..

How about this beauty:eek: Guess where the Battery was Located???

Handful to drive is the understatement of the year. Rubber band-like gearshift linkage, steering as accurate as a rowboat on a windy day, and terrible brakes. It single handedly destroyed the French auto industry's reputation for two decades.

we had a red R8 when i was a kid. t'was "rode hard & put up wet" and yet rarely broke. ugly as the butt on a goat tho, and as Wow pointed out, rotted while you watched. this one actually rusted in two in the middle in about 8 yrs.

pic is (i believe) a 63, but memory fades.

Nope! - Actually it sits behind the rear passengers just inside the rear window..
The battery box drops down into the engine bay...:):rolleyes::cool:
Owners fitted the old style roof racks to help keep the car from flexing - an absolute death trap...

Sorry, Kaiserseal, didn't mean to run your initial post into an off-topic. The C70 is surely a good-looking ride.

I think that a convertible Genny sedan would probably look pretty bad without serious rework.

OTOH, a convertible Genny coupe could look pretty sweet ...

(Hope I didn't just commit a sacrilege mentioning that "other" car on the sedan forum.)
