Okay, so long story short my soon to be ex step mom was an idiot and ran over a speed bump too fast that knocked the oil filter off and kept driving with no oil thus destroying the engine from starvation of oil. (The car had 119,000 miles on it at that time.)
Okay, anyways, we had the engine replaced. I’m noticing weird behaviors with the throttle. The throttle seems way more touchy when you push it a little bit down than before the swap. Also, when you floor it, it seems less responsive and slower and seems to go into almost what seems like limp mode.
I’m taking it back tommorow for them to look at some other things including the starter making a weird noise (it sounds like a ford modular v8 starting up for some reason) so I will ask them then.
But, do you think the throttle calibration is off? Can that be a thing after an engine swap? Can a throttle become miscalibrated?
