  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey Guys, :welcome:

There is so little info on the ability to add a roof rack to a 2015 Hyundai Genesis, and some of the limited info contradicts itself. I'm looking to buy a 15 Gensis Sedan, but especially since the rear seats do not fold down (WTF) I'd want a roof rack for snow equipment. This website suggests that this Thule Aeroblade system is compatible, but it doesn't specific whether the sub roof would still open/close correctly. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Best,

Thule says that they can't fit the 15 Genesis.

Have you ever considered the Seasucker racks? I use racks primarily for bikes and in the interest of avoiding a traditional roof rack (I just hate the look) I used a Saris Bones 2 trunk mounted bike rack on my coupe. This is a universal rack so I can use it on my sedan but decided not to for a few reasons (time consuming to tighten everything just right for stability and the hooks tend to eat into the paint). I finally ordered a Seasucker Mini Bomber bike rack for my sedan and this rack can hold two bikes on the roof of the car (or against the trunk) using industrial strength suction cups. The primary portion of the rack will fit right over my sunroof and never make contact with the paint although it will work just fine over painted surfaces. I just got mine in today so I'm fairly excited to see how it works out and they make racks for many purposes using the same technology.

Yakima makes clips/racks to fit 2015s.

I posted a while ago that yakima will fit the 2015 genesis. I am getting ready to add a roof rack with two bike racks and a cargo box.

Care to share some pictures of it in action?
