Been here awhile...
I have noticed that my side view mirrors do not allows tilt down when backing up? Is there a certain length of time you need to be in reverse or some other factor that determines whether tilt down or not?

Crupp -there's more. The function varies depending on whether you have the switch in the right or left position. Goto this thread and check the reply from JOwest.

Thanks Eliott. Maybe I should read the manual![]()
When the switch is pointed to the right only the right side mirror will go down. When pointed to the left both will go down, and when left in the center neither will move.![]()
I have not tried it lately, (or re-read the manual) but if memory serves me, when the switch is pointed to the right, only the LEFT side mirror will go down. When the switch is pointed to the left, BOTH the left and right mirrors go down.
I could be wrong, so I will try it tomorrow.
YOu are correct ctrc

It is a great feature to have (if one remembers to use it). I have it on my vehicle and have found it great when trying to parallel park near a high curb. I just don't always remember its there (doh!). With my vehicle, the car must be in Reverse as well...not sure if that is the same with the Genesis. Just another example of Hyundai getting it right.
