  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm planning to lease a 2010 Genesis (probably 3.8 because I find the driver's seat slightly more comfortable than the V-8's) in March, when the lease on my current car (2007 Volvo S60 R) ends. I'd like to get the windows tinted, but am unsure if this is allowable with a lease. Any advice?

Do it, its removeable if they require it, otherwise its an asset and selling feature they will appreciate.

They won't care as long as it is not a permanent modification.

You shouldn't have any problems, unless you plan on tinting well beyond the legal limit.

^ agreed as above. Tinting blocks UV lights that then keeps the leather and plastics (seats, dash, etc...) from drying out and cracking. Most dealerships know this and are happy to have tint on their vehicles. We tint for 3 of our local dealerships and most of them include tint in the deal. You might convince them to do so in your lease.
