  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a GV70 Top trim package automobile. 21" rims...currently 255's on the 21" rims.
Can I go up to 265's on the rear wheels?
3.5 twin turbo.

According to what I can find, that is the maximum width for a 9" wide rim, so it should be okay but that's the upper limit.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. There are some other tires available with much better treadwear at 265/35/21

I'll be ordering my wife a set of 265/45r21 tires soon to help incase she's ever to hit a curve 41k miles on the original Michelins and not a mark on them yet. I also hate the fender gap, plan to lower it with wheel spacers and thicker tire I think it will be perfect.
