  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I own a Genesis 3.8 Sedan that came with 235/50/18 tires from the factory. I’m thinking of putting 255/45/18 on it. The OD is the same, so no speedo issues but it is 2 centimeters wider (appx 1 inch). Has anyone made this switch without problems?

Never tried it, I run the same 235 size on mine. Depends partly (mostly?) on how much clearance, if any, you will end up with between the inner sidewall and the suspension pieces, and/or the fenders. Are you able to get under the car and check, or hold a tape measure between the inner sidewall and the nearest surface and maybe take some pictures of what the tape measure says?
