  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So, I had been waiting over a month with a deposit at two different Vegas dealers for a 2.0T Track. They both finally gave up and returned my deposit because they couldn't get one. I even called a few neighboring states and none of those dealers have any either. According to all of the dealers, the SW region has been getting nothing but loaded V6 GT and Track cars as well as base model 2.0T's, but nothing in between. They all told me that this is what Hyundai is sending them at that they keep requesting 2.0T Tracks but can't get them.

So, I bought something else. I'll revisit the Gen Coupe in 2 to 3 years.

Without further ado...

Here's the last two pics of the Z... EVAR:

The new ride (I've tinted the windows and lights since these were taken. Will update later with new pics):

I actually like the interior of this one. The GT usually comes all black inside. I got the California Special because it comes with a light 2-tone interior. I'll also be replacing alot of the plastic pieces with CF eventually (not CF overlays, actual CF parts):

What it's going to look like with black rims (I'm thinking 19's for daily driving):

I'm probably going to get these white (or CF) mirror caps as well:

First mods are going to be exhaust (Borla):

Then suspension:

Maximum Motorsports Sport Box, which consists of an MM Panhard Bar with Aluminum Rod, MM Caster/Camber Plates, H&R Cup kit with springs, shocks and struts and Eibach front and rear sway bar kit.

Then the Kenne Bell:

Then Stoptech brakes:

Bummer man,

But is it a Track? The dealers here have plenty of base model 2.0T's. I wanted the 4-banger with the Brembo's and LSD. Only way to get a Track in Vegas right now is with the V6.

Price. I got a $5500 rebate, 0% financing and $2500 off sticker. The Vegas Chevy dealers want $5K over sticker for the Camaro SS. The SS would run me about $15K more plus the interest since Chevy doesn't have 0% on the Camaro. Not worth it for 100HP. Not when I can make 515+ whp with a $5800 Kenne Bell blower.

Nobody's business but mine how much I spent. If you really want to know, you can PM me.

There are obviously Track's elsewhere since all of the tuners have them already. For some reason none are in the SW region. I called dealers in NV, CA, AZ, and UT.

whats the difference between cs and regular gt?

The California Special is an appearance package. I got it because it comes with the light two-tone interior. The regular GT Premium is all black inside.

The Shaker 1000 is nice. Has 2 subs in the trunk, so no need for me to tear out the stock system and go aftermarket. I'm gonna leave the stereo stock.

New pics...

Windows tinted, lights blacked out and 6" billet black antenna. The next mod is to remove the front plate bracket and have the holes filled:

Thinking about getting the blackout panel to go between the taillights. Not sure yet though:

GT Styling panel (will match the lights, since they have GT Styling covers on them):
