  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What's the collective thinking on putting opti-coat on the car? My only problem with that thing is that they are telling me I need to leave the car in a shop for up to 3 days... However a trip is coming up, so I might just do that.

I never believed in all those aftermarket sealers. If they were actually that good in doing half of what they claim the manufacturers would use it. Not for me, old fashion wash and a good coat of hand rubbed old fashion wax is a time proven product in my eyes. Also gives one a chance to really go over the car every 6 months or so to see any type of minor damage paint that needs to be taken care of ;)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Use the search function. There are several threads about this. Some people on this forum are very happy with their opti-coat, but I personally don't know much about it.

Opti-coat is a product for those who want hardened durable protection on their vehicle. Wax and basic sealers are for those who want that show quality finish. Not that you can't have it with both, but once you apply a glass/ceramic sealer, it's a different game.

I have a show car... I don't use glass sealers. However, I am a HUGE Fan of them.

It all depends on you, your needs and what you feel is best for your vehicle.

Swissvax FTW
