Been here awhile...
Hyundai is pulling a 1980's version of Toyota. Toyota is now trying to pull a 21st century Hyundai, after shooting themselves in the foot with their previous late 90's let's try and be GM.
Toyota's new president Akio Toyoda:
"Rather than asking, 'How many cars will we sell?' or 'How much money will we make by selling these cars?' we need to ask ourselves, 'What kind of cars will make people happy?' as well as, 'What pricing will attract them in each region?' Then we must make those cars." (gee who's strategy does that sound like?)
