TPMS failure

2012 R-Spec: Has anyone else had an issue with the TPMS module (NOT an individual tire sensor) continuing to error code out? I've had my car in 3 times to the dealer and once to a tire dealer to try to resolve. It's cost me for two tire sensors and multiple re-programmings that don't last? The TPMS light itself comes and sounds alarm and the right front indicator blinks. Both lights come on frequently although not all the time. (The right front sensor is what they have replaced twice.) I understand a replacement module has to be programmed in to the car; its not simply replacing the part. Any help would be appreciated including how to replace the module. Thanks.

I have been having similar issues with my 2009 Hyundai Genesis. TPMS stays on contantly even though the sensors in each individual tire are fine. I believe it it the TPMS reciever that is faulty. However, trying to find someone (other than the dealer) who can replace the reciever is difficult in NC. It is difficult to even determine where that reciever is located. Good luck and let me know what you find out.

I'm in the same boat. I had an accident (front driver side) where the front driver wheel was damaged beyond repair. Since I was replacing it I decided to go aftermarket on the wheels. When I got the car back I put the new wheels (with all new TPMS sensors) on it and they all worked except the front driver side. I swapped the front wheels to opposite sides just to make sure it wasn't the TPMS sensor. I'm almost 100% certain it's the receiver, and the part itself is only $50, but I cannot for the life of me figure out where the receiver is located so I can replace it. I'm probably going to take the front passenger wheel and wheel well cover off and see if I can locate it this weekend.

The wheel well cover was completely ripped out after the accident and I was able to see behind it a bit and noticed a wire (or wire harness) on the back side of the wheel well. That's where I suspect it's located. If you don't wanna wait, that might be the best place to look....

Mine is a 2012 and the TPMS module is attached to the dashboard frame above the glove box. You have to pull the glove box door down the same way you do to change the interior air filter. I haven't done it yet, but then you are supposed to be able to look up and see the module (once the glove box door is out of the way). I'm thinking you may have to completely remove the glove box door in order to get your head in position to look up and see the module. I have loaded a printout from the dealer parts department showing the parts breakdown for this location in pdf and jpeg formats. Part number 95800K within the circle is the TPMS module. Hope this helps.

That is the main TPMS module, and might be the problems if your TPMS isn't working at all. In my case it was only one wheel, and didn't seem to be the TPMS sensor itself, so I thought it might be the TPMS receiver (antenna).
