  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello I just replaced my factory rims with aftermarket rims. Is there anyway to turn off the TPMS lights on the dash or do I have to put the tpms in the aftermarket rims. I didn't want to break down the factory rims to do this or purchase a extra set of tpms. Any suggestion or tricks. I have a 2015 Genesis Sedan.

There is nothing in the normal setting to turn it off. It is a Federal regulation to have it so the car maker can't give you a simple work around. If there is a way, it is not obvious. Maybe someone knows of a fuse you can pull.

While you stated that you were not looking to buy any TPMS, I can recommend TPMS.com

2018 Genesis G80 (AWD, RWD, 3.3T, 3.8, 5.0) TPMS

I got a set and they work GREAT!

Speaking of TPMS.

My moms 2009 needed a new valve/TPMS and since the day it was replaced the dash light has stayed on 24/7. We took it back to the tire shop several times and they replaced the sensor twice and reset all the sensors multiple times but within an hour of driving off, the light comes off. Shop claims the sensor is an OEM but who knows.

No idea what steps we can take to shut dash light off (no, 75 year old mom won't do the duct tape trick :))

Any thoughts on how to fix?
