  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Local dealer has offered me $19000 for my 2015 Genesis Ultimate V8 with 47400 miles. Still has the remaining 2 years 3 months extended warranty. Does this seem reasonable? Will be moving to a 2023 GV70 3.5TT fully loaded at $65000.

That really depends on you. If you feel it is a good deal, then go for it. You may be able to get more selling on your own, but there is a lot involved in that. Also, used car value is starting to go down, so not really sure you will find a better deal. You could check with Carvana or one of the other online car sellers.

Carvana came back at $22200.

Deciding if I even need a new car. I mean the Genesis is 8 years old but with very low mileage. Do I like the GV70? Yes, it has more usable space compared to the Genesis. It has almost the same power and fuel economy. It is easier to get in and out of (lower back issues are cropping up). There is a car in route with everything I want. Nobody has claimed it yet.

If you do get it, you won't regret it. The GV70 is a nice vehicle. I have the GV80 and love it.

How reliable is Carvana?

My daughter sold a car to them. Picked it up with a flatbed, gave them a check. Seemed easy enough but that is just one incidence.

Ok, that gives me hope. Now, I need to find out when the GV70 arrives. If everything goes well, I can slip from one car to the next.

@ $22K, I'd take the money & run. The cars that are actually branded "Genesis" seem to go at more of a premium now. "Hyundai Genesis" seem go for a lot less $.
