  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It’s a 2025 GV80 Coupe ESC with 3000 miles. Been to the dealer already, they cleared the code and returned it. This has occurred 2 or 3 more times since. When it’s 60 degrees or less outside the engine cranks and idles high for about 15 seconds then calms down. The car is fine in warmer temps. Placing the vehicle in drive or reverse is harsh causing the entire vehicle to shake followed by the transmission control error on the dashboard. The transmission sticks and stays ONLY in what I perceive to be 5th gear at all times making the car dangerous to drive up hills or steep bridges. I can stop the engine after a few minutes of driving and restart followed by the vehicle driving fine and shifting through the gears, but with the service engine soon light still lit. I plugged in my handy OBD2 connector and pulled the code of P0880 showing low voltage to the transmission computer.

Could the battery be the issue in the cooler mornings? As the car heats up and battery charged after driving I can shut it off and restart and everything works fine. Tomorrow I will record the the battery voltage ahead of cranking. I recorded 13.9 volts when the car is working normally to prepare the dealership with as much knowledge as I can as they passed it off as nothing previously.
Anyone with a Genesis vehicle experience the TCM P0880 error?
