  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

well its that time now. im the second owner of a 2011 genesis sedan with the good ole faithful 3.8l. ive posted on here before about concerns with the drain and fill process. i concluded i should just leave it alone until i need to replace it or have it rebuilt. chatgpt has been my go to as unreliable as it has been lol. unfortunately they dont make it easu finding out what transmission you actually have. now for referrence im going to be rebuilding myself at home because im broke. as of my research it is a aisin TB-60N. initially i assumed it was the aisin a6lf2 but thats a fwd trans. i have scowered the web for any psossible information and i keep coming back to the tb-60n which is likely it. for anyone wondering the zf6 transmsission that everyone has talked about has been in all the different versions of the original genesis sedan. from the base 3.8, 4.6, and 5.0. the zf6hp26 has one common failure and that is the clutxh drum E which is 4,5,6th gear. it likes to burn. anyway im almost positive its my trans is TB-60N after all the research ive done. if anyone would like to correct me that would be very helpful in identifying the trans accurately so i can find the right parts
