  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

A little chink in the silver trim...what to do? Is there a solution to fix it? Like a plastic silver paint substance or something?

I'd think you'd have to replace that part of the trim or take it somewhere to get rechromed

$93 plus shipping to replace at least the silver part is separate from the lower plastic trim. Not sure if there is an easy way to repair it though. I have a similar vertical scratch on the trunk lid trim and plan on replacing the piece altogether. Not sure if you can access that trim without taking the bumper off or not, my gut tells me the bumper has to come off.

Let me know if you find any cheap repair options.

I may do that at some point yeah. I was just hoping maybe there was something like touch up paint but for chrome areas to at least patch it up and stop it from spreading quickly etc until I decide the entire thing needs to be replaced....if I just just smear a bit of chromy paint like gel or something over the one teeny area where its missing I don't think your eye would be drawn to it..I know there's not much I can do with the bubble area...
