  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Pretty much everyone I know that has every bought first year model car has vowed never again. For those Genesis coupe owners out there that have put several thousand miles on your cars, how has the reliability been? Any trips to the dealer to work out some kinks? Make a note of which model/tranny you have if it isn't in your signature.

Thanks much!

1 small rattle from the left rear speakergrill, got fixed during the first service.
Nothing else besides that, car is a 2010 2.0T manual with just over 7,200 mls on it.
Basically trouble free so far.

Good to know. Not bad at all for 7,200 miles. Hopefully a sign up things to come. Although I'm a little nervous no one else has posted yet. Natural tendency with people is to like to affirm they made a great purchase, no problems, versus admit to having a bunch of nuisances. Anyone else?

Really too soon to tell on my coupe, but with only 1,400 miles on my 3.8 touring with automatic, there has been zero problems. I hope it stays that way. Our 3.8 Genesis sedan with 7,800 miles on it has had no problems either. I have had no complaints with either car...both drive like a dream!

I have heard a rattle coming from my left rear speaker as well. Also, my gas gauge has acted weired on two occasions. Both times after filling up, my gauge said my tank was only half full and my Range meter did not work. Both times the gauge worked fine the next day after fill up. Something I will bring up at the initial service. Also, today my tire pressure light came on but all my tires have full pressure. Don't know if I might have a nail or something stuck. Will examine more close later today.

We're servicing several coupes (& sedans) regularly. So far no warranty issues on any other than a seat belt buckle on a sedan during PDI with high resistance in the sensor causing a A/B light. I have 1 coupe around 15k not a single snag Owner loves it more than when it was new.

Good to know you are here Dark. I'm sure you will be one of the only ones for long-term multi-vehicle info. That's good news about those cars you mentioned.

4500 miles on a 4.6L V8 sedan.

No major problems. The TPMS is coming on intermittently for the rear left tire only, even though all the tires are at correct pressure (33 psi). This will be looked at during the next oil change, ~6000 miles. Slightly annoying, but nothing severe.

Other than that, nothing to note. Zero rattles, and the ride is great save for the bumpy rear suspension.
