Trunk unlock and opening

Most of the time the trunk will not open using the button inside the car. It is supposed to open when you approach the car locked while parked. About 50% of the time it works. It will not unlock manually. The only way to open the trunk is with the key fob. The dealership said they fixed it once but it was not fixed. Now they ordered a new trunk latch motor.

Is this still a problem?
2-Thinking of getting a new g90
dealership is 20 miles away-will they be able to provide concierge service?

Hi Chucky. I just bought a used 2019 G90 Ultimate 5.0 and have a similar, though not quite the same, problem with my trunk. I press the key fob, or the interior trunk release and I can hear it unlock but the trunk does not open. I have to simultaneously press the trunk release on the key fob and lift it manually to get it to open. Same thing for when I stand in front of it. There have been a few times, very infrequent, when it will actually open. I went to the Genesis Dealership here in Huntsville, AL. They told me the next available appointment for getting it repaired (it is still under full factory warranty) is 24 April!!!! Are you kidding me????!!!! 3 MONTHS out!!! I about fainted right in front of them. Then the Service rep that took my information wrote it down on some scrap piece of paper and told me he would email me the confirmation. That was three days ago and still no email???!!! What a clown show!!! This is a wonderful car, but the dealership is a complete clown show!!!!
