  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The last few days Im having intermittent no power, I have to jumpstart. The battery was replace in December and is testing good. I notice this will happen after a drive and I turn off the ignition, after jumpstart if I turn off the ignition immediately, car with restart no problem, It will work good for a few days, then all of a sudden no battery power to do anything. No loose cable that I can see. This is a 2015 3.8. Anybody came across this problem ?.

Alternator not charging the battery? Have you checked it?

parasitic drain somewhere, possibly.

Turn out it was a loose chassis ground, blame the body shop the made some repaired a few weeks ago, These repair tech don't seem to take any kind of pride in their job, I also found screws missing from the trunk liner. This is unreal, what's up with these company, I'm really scared to get my car worked on, even from the dealer. SMDH.

it's not just Genesis dealers. I have never had a body shop actually put every fastener back in place after a repair. Pride in one's work has been missing in all walks of life for many years. Sadly.

Clean cables and the battery posts.
Make sure they are tight .
Try that , start with the basics.

I had the same problem. Stopped to do an errand. When I shut off the car, everything went dead....nothing!
Called Roadside Assistance. He couldn't tighten connections any more than they were but while checking, power returned and I started the car. I learned, through an older thread here, that an engineering issue may be to blame. Roadside Assistance told me that if it happens again, hit the floor of the trunk with an open hand. It worked. A fix is to place a battery post shim on the positive post. Haven't had a problem since.

Do you have a picture or diagram of it? Having the EXACT same issues as you where I would have parasitic draw on my battery after I got an oil change done and a mechanic can't 100% pinpoint it.

Sorry I dont, I eventually had to replaced the positive battery terminal, as it was not tightening firm. There is a thread with pictures on the battery terminal replacement topic. I just bought the oem positive terminal because I didnt want to do any cutting.
