  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I attempted to replace the right (passenger side) directional signal lamp and I screwed up. I thought I had fastened the bulb into the socket but was wrong. When I tried to insert the bulb into the recepticle the bulb came out and now it is in the headlight assembly. Looking into the headlight I can clearly see it but cannot figure out how to get it out. I don't want to make a bad situation worse by taking things apart until I actually know what to do, all suggestions are welcomed.

Don't feel bad - I did the same thing! After some frustration with various methods (including using a shop vac with a piece of tubing attached) I used a piece of wire with a loop on the end which had some sticky tape around it. It took some careful moves, but if did finally come out.

Good luck!

SUCCESS!! I had to use wire with a loop on it to position the bulb so I could grab it with a flex claw pick-up tool purchased at my local hardware store for $5.00 (they have everything) This was not a 5 minute job as I did not remove the air box so there was almost no wiggle room, but it worked thanks to Jimmy bouy and bthor
Thank so much guys!

Glad you got it out man. There's definitely always a tool for that.
