  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It's strange how you miss things even when they stare you in the face. I was reading some 2015 literature and they mentioned the 2 tone interiors. I had to look at my interior to see what they meant. :o I never could really pinpoint what exactly I liked so much about my interior and now I realize it's because of the 2 tone scheme. With the ivory it makes the upper portion black including the dash and the lower portion black including carpets. Nice touch and really will help in the showing less dirt especially on the carpets and lower door panels. I guess the only one which is not 2 tone would be the black interior. So far the ivory has not shown any dirt whatsoever. There was talk about blue jeans rubbing off blue onto the seats however that's not happening at all and I wear jeans every day. Simply stunning through my eyes.

I agree that your car has two-tone interior, but I don't think they include the dash when they say that. All cars have dark dashes (although not necessarily black) to keep reflections off the windshield. Same goes for the window sill areas of the side windows, and rear deck for rear window. But on your car the sides of the seat are black, and the flooring is black, as you noted (also some other areas).

To be honest I don't know what the majority is offering today in light colours. I do know I have an older accord I keep in Florida which is beige inside and when I say beige this includes the dash and carpets and everything.

I guess it depends on how dark the beige is. If it is light, I bet you may notice that the dash is a bitter darker brown or something. But if it is sufficiently dark to begin with, maybe OK for the dash. There is no way one could drive with an ivory dash.

While not very common, there are light dashes out there.

Last I checked, my 2015 Genesis is part of the "all cars" family. It has, without a doubt, a beige rear deck under the rear window. Using absolutes is generally not a smart thing to do. And who are 'they'?

Where is the Control button on smartphones?

Sun, your huge pics are making the text in your posts very difficult to view, especially on phones and tablets. Please downsize them if you can.

Thanks, but I find the full site view much faster and more comprehensive.

Forget control buttons and work arounds - pics should be scaled for forums and these large pictures are a PIA for both mobile and desktop viewers. I have been a violator in the past, but maybe we can all agree to just resize these huge pics.

My 2015 Genny dash does match the door sills/lower trim and console color while the seats and door inserts are a different color - so the 2 tone does indeed include the dash, I'd say!

Agreed. if there are 2 colors - 2 tone. Shouldn't matter where the 2 tones are...

I think there is a misunderstanding here. It is quite normal that for a light interior, the dash is darker than the seats, etc (as I previously explained). I am not questioning that. But when that happens, I don't think Hyundai says they have a two-tone dash. That is all I am saying. To have a two-tone dash, even a black interior has more than one tone when they say that. I never heard Hyundai claim two-tone dash for 2009-2014 Genesis, even though a light interior had a darker dash.

If it has a two tone dash, then even a black interior has more than one tone. That was not the case for 2009-2014 Genesis, but is the case for 2015.

Isn't this thread about the 2015 Hyundai Genesis? I looked at the black interior and it seems to not be two-tone. Not even the dash. It's all dark grey/black. The other three are - lighter seats, door inserts, bottom portion of dash and then the dark carpet and dark topside of doors and dash.
Again, contrary to what you said, my rear deck shelf is beige, not dark.
