  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Um... anyone else getting clatter at startup?

By way of update for those following this issue, I took my Genesis to the dealer yesterday and they did an oil change under warranty. There was definitely much less of a clatter this morning when I started it, so it does seem to be oil-related.

On a separate and very puzzling note, my bluetooth went out completely after the oil change and the dealership folks are utterly baffled. The car won't pair up with any phone at all, not just mine. They're going to order a new radio for the car. Weird, huh?

This falls in the category of the NAV address book erasing itself, and the NAV system locking up. Weird is right! Before you let them rip into the dash might want to check page 148 in the DIS manual and ensure autoconnect is still on. :(

Yup, autoconnect is on. I took it back to the dealership that same day when I noticed the lack of connection on my way home and the techs couldn't get it to pair with any phone on hand. Now, the stereo has started acting flakey (it goes out for 3 seconds at seemingly random intervals in all modes - disk, aux, xm, radio, etc.). Very odd indeed. At any rate, I think they're ordering a new unit for me but I need to touch base with them today.
