  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

UNAVI OEM-Integrated Navigation Solutions

Does the Unavi support Bluetooth A2DP?

Is this a double din setup.. and if so can it also go into other vehicles?

It could be standard double-din on the back side, but by the looks of it, it is custom made both physically and software-wise for the specific vehicle. It says it's running Windows CE and notice that the "stereo" screen actually mimics the base model Genny's factory stereo in form and function and can still show you the HVAC info. To me that means is totally custom programmed and can't just be swapped to another car.

I was talking to David the vendor www.carlighttrends.com about the UNAVI navigation system for the genesis, and from what he is telling me that is a no-brainer it looks just like a OEM navigation system on how it sits in the dash 8" screen and it is completly plug-n-play. Apart from the Navigation it also plays movies via a USB drive. David was telling me that I will keep all my factory options (XM, Bluetooth, steering wheel controls) and comes with a 3 year warranty, I'll be honest from what I'm seeing and what he is telling me, and what is on his site I'm about to pull the trigger on the UNAVI Navigation system.

I passed on a couple of Genesis (tech) with OEM Nav I just did like that controller and how you add an address to have to scroll through numbers and letters just seemed dumb to me. What I'm liking about the UNAVI System is that is a 8" touch screen (that makes sence) and looks like it belongs in the dash of a Genesis. I'll keep everyone posted.

Yes our UNAVI Navigation System is designed for all non-navigation equipped Hyundai's. The wiring harness between the OEM Navigation and the non-Navigation cars are totally different.

I've got a 2011 Genesis 3.8 with tech package. I'd like to upgrade to the unavi.

I see above that the Bluetooth functionality is retained. However, does the unavi do Bluetooth streaming of audio from a player on my android phone?

Currently, I have an old iphone I load up with my music and leave in the car.

Do you currently have Navigation? If so the UNAVI System is designed for a non-navigation equipped Hyundai Automobiles. The wiring harness is different between a Nav and non-Nav equipped cars.

thanks for the reply...I have a navigation / tech package 2011 genesis.

My local dealer gave me a quote for swapping out the existing navigation with a UNAVIx2 model. I guess I'm surprised to hear that it isn't compatible?

I think this is only for base without navi.

That it is, and it truly is a perfect working product all the OEM features are retained plus a 8" Hi Def Touch Screen that integrates and look completely OEM in your Dash.

I haven't followed up with dealership yet on why they are saying they can swap out my existing OEM tech package nav and put in the unavi given the whole harness issue...

but they also told me that the primary feature you lose by going to the unavi is the Xm traffic info
