  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just in case there are others out there who, like me, wanted to know what other Genesis owners have experienced after replacing their OEM head unit with a UNavi X5 system...I made a webpage showing my unit and will gladly answer any questions that you might have if I am able to.

I'm the type of person who sometimes spends DAYS researching $100 vacuum cleaners before I buy one...and I found it so frustrating that I couldn't find any information from owners with real world experience anywhere on the internet.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE UNAVI X5

Bottom line: I HIGHLY recommend the X5.

Why did you feel the need to post this in 4 different sections of the forum. Keep it clean and post to one please.

He only started one new thread, so I would cut him some slack.

That actually looks pretty slick; nice job on the write-up.

I truly apologize. I initally posted it to the 2 threads where it was relevant because people had the same questions that I did. Then I posted it to the thread advertising the UNavi before deciding that it would probably be better to start my own thread. I will delete the others.

Sorry. I was just trying to help.

Maybe this is why I had such a hard time trying to find infomration about the X5?

I truly apologize.
Not needed. A lot of people have inquired about this subject, so providing links in existing threads to your excellent website is appreciated.

Didn't realize he only started one new thread. Only saw four new posts with the same title. Sorry to bust your balls but I thought they were all new threads. Carry on.

Thank you sooo much for posting this. I have been searching for this same information as you were.

You're most certainly welcome. Glad to help.

So where does one get it installed?

The UNavi Website shows that you can get it done at...

AC Sport
4119 Richards Rd
N. Little Rock, AK 72217

Phone: 501-955-2232

Or, if that's too far from you, you could ask at any auto accessory store like Glisson's on Hobson Avenue or New Moon Audio on Airport Road? Last resort...(gasp)...Best Buy...but I wouldn't allow a geek to touch my Genny.

Thanks you so much. This is the information I needed. Thanks again!!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
You did the board a service. Great write-up. Very clear and complete. Thanks!

You're welcome. I will continue to update that page as questions come in and as I before more familiar with the system and how it operates.

I concur. Fantastic write-up. I suppose since I once installed a factory air conditioning system in another vehicle I could also do this but I will probably opt to get a professional to install it. Looks great and just what I need. Thanks so much.

Keep the questions coming!

Just a note to let everyone know that I've done my best to answer all of your questions so far...please keep them coming. I'm here to help.

I've updated my page to include most of the questions that have been asked over the past couple of days and included about 8 more videos that I took tonight to show you how it works.

UPDATED QUESTION AND ANSWER SECTION HERE

Please don't hesitate to ask should you have a question. I know what it was like as I was going back and forth in my mind trying to determine if it was worth dropping over a grand on this unit.

Just read the write up an I have to say great job. Definitely looks like a quality unit and now see why everybody was eager to see your review. Again I apologize for being harsh earlier. What I get for posting right when I wake up!!

I do have a question about the rear camera. Is it only active when in reverse? Or does it transmit a signal all the time. Interested in recording during my commute. Looking to see about recording from the front as well.

What happens if it malfunctions? Even if it has a warranty, who actually repairs it? A factory installed Nav system should be handled by the dealer but what about after market units like this?
