USB Drive not playing

Plug in a USB 8g Sandisk, my 2012 genesis would not play it? I know there are some problems with these drive. Is there any one with this problem that can help.

USB drives must first be formatted to Fat 32 before copying MP3 files onto them. An 8 gig Sandisk should work fine.
 
I have a 2012 R-spec and have never had any problem playing the USB drive. In fact, that's is pretty much all I use (except when in range of an Oldies HD2).
 
No problems for me using sandisk either. Chances are you are formatted NTFS. Reformat FAT32 and you should be fine.

Forgot to say the USB 8g Sandisk works in my Smart Car with know problems.
