  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello,

Sorry, I realize that there as been discussion before on USB Drives for music...but there is one thing confusing me.

I have loaded my 8mb flash drive with about 2gig of music. It takes forever to page down the lists. So what do you do to make this faster? If I put these songs in folders, will the folders appear?

As I was trying to scroll, it kept trying to jump back to the song that was playing...I don't understand.

Anyway to make this easier?

Thanks

Bob

Yes, folders will speed up the navigation, but will introduce its own problems (namely that going out of the folder will drop you to the top entry of the parent directory).

It is annoying. I copied about 12GB music on my 32GB drive and there were multiple levels of folders. From Atlanta to Cincy and back, we used this and I would say there was lot of time we spent navigating thru folders.

Also if you have lots of folders, the navigation is slow.

So I load up my flash drive with mp3's and mp4's... guess what! the lexicon does not see the mp4's... its just another format. Why doesnt it see it. ugh !
