  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone, my mechanic suggested to use BG full synthetic ATF for the 2010 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 sedan. The 2009-2011 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 sedan have the Asin B600 transmission. Is this BG ATF suitable for this transmission? Do you have any experience with this ATF in Asin B600 transmissions? Here is the info for this ATF: BG Premium Full Synthetic ATF

Not too much info on that website, unfortunately. "Meets or exceeds the performance criteria of JASO 1-A and many other automatic transmission fluids" doesn't specify all that much, in my opinion. Are you able to find out what sort of specs your transmission requires? Is it difficult to get fluid from the dealer or some other supplier that would have Aisin fluid, or whatever brand it came with from the factory? Some fluids will mix easily with others, and some will definitely not.

EDIT: BG is a reputable company, so hopefully I'm worried about nothing, but maybe someone else with more experience will chime in here. If you have your mechanic flush all the old fluid out and replace it with BG, I would think it would be all right, but do it at your own risk, I assume no liabilities, etc. Good luck!
