  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I will just quote what I left in my Google Review after visiting this horrible place...and I still have to go back there and get them to refund the $500 deposit I put down for a car they never produced....

One of the least pleasant car dealership experiences I have ever had. Went in to look at a new car, salesman seemed very uninterested in me or explaining the car...kept looking at his cell phone during the test drive. Took a call and said, "I will be back in a minute". Once back he said, "give me a minute". I saw him go off to help someone else I assume he was already helping before me. After an hour of him never coming back, or getting another person to help me, I just left. I came back to work with another salesman. Said they had the exact car I wanted in stock, spent 45 minutes looking for it just to find out it was not the options their paperwork stated. The internet pictures and specs for their cars are totally bogus, wrong and misleading. I don't think they have a clue what is on the lot. They just want to get you in the door and start the selling game. Tried to sell me another car that was being driven by their manager as a new one. I finally told them I was done and will be taking my business elsewhere.

According to car salesmen everywhere, all "demos" were cars that were driven by the sales manager or GM or dealership owner, and not demos that were test driven by customers. This is very first thing car salesman are taught to say.

Sorry to hear that.
Why did you put down a deposit of five hundred dollars?

I put down the $500 after agreeing to a deal and they would actively start looking for a car from another dealership. They never could produce a car and really didn't seem that interested. I had to keep calling them to ask if they found one. I will never step foot in that dealership again...

Did you get your $500 back?

Normally, I would not put that kind of deposit down without a firm deal on a specific car. I have given deposits a bit like this 2 times.

Most recently, for my local dealer to get a car from another dealer in the area. I knew where the car was, and they just needed the deposit prior to actually getting the car.

The one other time was when I bought my 2011 Sonata. I had a couple of colors that were acceptable on a maxed out Limited. At the time, the car was selling as fast as dealers could get them. I had an Infiniti G35 for trade, and the dealer had a customer that wanted it. I gave them $250, they took my car, and they gave me a loaner.

The next week, I had to go out of the country to Korea and Japan for about 2 weeks. They got the car about 2 days before I got back, and my son picked it up and dropped off the loaner. I had done business with the dealer and Finance Manager before, and I had already settled the deal. All worked out well.

Oh yeah, I got my money back. Of course I had to go back down there and watched while they ran my card in the machine. Little mickey mouse POS terminal plugged into a power strip with 10 other things. The whole thing screamed of cheapness...glad to be done with them.

Sorry your experience was bad. I've heard good things about the guys in Plano.
