  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just bought my 2011 4.6 (tech pkg standard) Platinum Metallic with Cashmere interior night before last! (Nearly $5K under sticker OTD after much negotiation.) Been lurking this forum for about a week as part of my research -- Thanks to everyone for providing so much info here!

Anyhow, after driving it two days and feeling like a straight up champion I'm considering a vanity plate of "LXUSKLLR". *evil grin* (I checked, and it's still available in my state.) Wondering what thoughts you guys have on that... Would it be too much?

I just traded a Lexus for a Genesis, and I think the car says it all. I'd skip the license and let the car speak for itself.

I've still got a Lexus GS, but am seriously considering trading it in on another Genesis.

What did you end up paying for the car and what part of the country do you live in?

Congrats on your new Genesis. The vanity plate is up to you, I also thought about getting one but just decided not to. May grab too much attention to my liking.

I agree with the attention grabbing issue. The last thing you would want is some young punk with a Lexus to cause some harm to your vehicle. Just because they take issue with your plates. Without saying, I hope you know what I mean. The car itself speaks volumes!

I like it, but for me it's more a BMWKLLR.

Hilarious, I say do it. A day doesn't go by where I don't see multiple Genesis sedans and coupes on the road here in LA. I had to explain what I bought last year, cause no one knew what the hell I was talking about. Now, they're everywhere. But I also live in the car Mecca.
I agree though. The Lexus LS is the target for this car. I'm proof positive, I have a LS and a Genesis.
Maybe
LSKILLR

I like obscure plates - for example, mine say "EXAT6". Very few people ever figure it out, but a few have. (Hint - I worked for many years as a Russian linguist)

Go for the vanity plate.... Mine says TAU.

Don't you also have a 5 Series or am I thinking of somebody else?

Thanks for the advice, guys! This is truly a great forum!

Well, I think I've finally decided on the vanity plate: SAVED40K

This takes a more subtle jab at the "Big 3" but for those in the know will actually get more to the heart of what's so special about this car.
