  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got today the Veepeak Plus and connected it to the car’s port (it did not click) with the car on. The blue LED came on.
On my iPhone I started the previously configured Scanner app and tapped Connect. After a few seconds an error appears saying that the connection failed because my phone is not connected to the ELM327 wifi network. On my Wifi settings there is no such or similar network.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Do you need to connect to it via Bluetooth first?

The Veepeak device (and all of the other OBD dongles I am familiar with) does not use WiFi, it communicates with the phone strictly via Bluetooth. It's been a long time since I set mine up so I have no memory of the process, but this video seems to explain everything in detail.
