  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For the past few charges at 350Kwh EA stations my charging speeds are in the 60’s, and peaking to the lower 100s.
Outside temp is mid 40s and my battery fully conditioned.
Are you also experiencing this slowdown?

What do you mean by "fully conditioned"? What SOCs are you referring to?

Assessing what is driving charge rates is nearly impossible without an OBD reader - and incredibly simple with one.

Fully conditioned means that a couple of minutes before I reached the EA station the battery conditioning indicator just turned off. My initial SOC was 37%.

I’ve found that when it’s particularly cold and I’m driving at highway speeds, the battery warmer is ineffective.

The battery conditioning should remain on until the battery reaches 70 something degrees and only then shut off. At least that’s the theory.

Heater activation and temps are helpful to understand capability to receive a charge. Power requested from the car, the power the charger is targeting, and power actually being delivered by the charger. With these, one can clearly see if any slowed charging is driven by the car or charger.

I charged twice in Tahoe this weekend. On one occasion it was below 30 degrees, I was fully conditioned, light out 10 minutes from charger, highway speeds with a variety of snow on the ground. I went from 30-84 in 20 minutes.
