  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I've had my Genny for a little over 2 weeks now and I love it. Within the first 24 hours of ownership, I had the windows tinted as well as the tail lights tinted. I'm going for a complete blackout/murdered out look. The other night while driving, I was asked if I was "driving a new Infiniti". When I told the guy that it was a Hyundai, he was in complete shock. He asked how the pickup was on it, so I proceeded to blow his doors off when the light turned green. Now that I think about it, I want to make the car look sleeker. I want to wrap it completely. As of now, she is black. I was thinking either Satin Black or Satin White Pearl. I say white because every car I've owned prior to the Genny has been white. My last car which was a 2013 Sonata SE was originally shimmering white and I ended up dipping the whole thing to a Neochrome Chameleon. So I'm asking for opinions. If I do the white, I'm keeping the roof black and making all accents black as well. :D

Most members are fairly reserved here, I doubt you’ll get the feedback you are looking for. For me I prefer my sedans to be black and my sports cars red (this should be a song). I’d be curious to see what the satin black finish would look like on the Genesis.

I've realized this from reading responses to others threads, unfortunately. I'm rather young, which is why I'm still in to customizing above just wheels. I'm 23 and I own the Genny myself. It's mine and mine alone. Which feels great knowing that I have what I have because I worked for it. It's unusual for a guy my age to have such a car, but I made it possible. As for your response, I definitely agree. I think the satin black would look incredible on the Genny.

I am a big fan of wraps and was in the business for a short period of time. This is just my two pennies:

If you are going to go satin, go satin all the way around. However, you need to take into account that some of the accents you have already, i.e. tinted windows, tinted tailights and the plastic areas which attached your rear view mirrors to the door, have more of the gloss black look rather than satin. This is where you may run into the problem of too many depth variations in color. This will also be dependant on wheel color and options. Are you staying with the silver look, going chrome, mixing in black? Do you plan on wrapping your wheels with the same vinyl as the car? The color options of satin black and white are staples in the industry but you must think full color/project spectrum before hand.
Find someone who is knowledgable in PhotoShop and have them mock it up for you. This will give you a good perspective. And lastly, if you are a YouTube guy, look up "Fast, Furious and Funny" videos. You will find some great vinyl wraps movies with the colors you are looking at.
Best of luck with the project.

I have a satin black wrap on my roof rt now and if i were to do the entire car a different color, i would definitely go with satin black. It gives the car a very sleek and aggressive look. Turns many heads

If I do satin black, the entire car will be wrapped satin black. I thought about wrapping the stock wheels as well, but I might as well just change them and throw a set of 20" on her. If I could find someone to render my car into a satin black and add the wheels I want as well, that would be incredible. I was originally looking at Niche Lucerne's in black chrome. I want that style, but if I go satin, they'll throw the look off. So I might get something similar and have them powdercoated to match.

I'm definitely going for the aggressive look. When I was finished with my Sonata it definitely had an aggressive look to it. That's how people around here remember. Wesley Chapel huh? It's a coincidence that I'm always down in Wesley Chapel as well as Tampa. Small world.
