If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Going in 2012 Sedan with base NON HID lighting
http://www.vleds.com/led-headlights/h11-h8-h9.html

H11b a Fanless 2700LM starter @ (seems plenty for me) 150.00 Pair

H11b a Fan cooled 3000LM 30W, collar blade depth/rotation adjustable LED light with ballasts 200.00 Pair

H11b a Fan cooled 4500LM 45W, collar blade depth/rotation adjustable LED
light with ballasts 250.00 Pair

Im thinking Fanless 2700LM for Low Beam & 4500LM for High/DLR

These are expensive, appear to be much better made, higher outputs than Ive seen, Would love to know what SACCHOE is using here:

Perfect Color Matching with factory LED strip. Not sure these are the Korean made model he refers to but the VLeds look pretty good. FEEDBACK! Who has used them? Anybody use anything else they like? Going in a white 2012 very soon. Thanks

Now looking into replacing my HID high beams with this VLed product. HID's take a good while to warm up in comparison.

The high beam won't fit.

Have you tried? Is it because of that heat sink and there being minimum space in that region of that head lamp assembly.

Picking up my 2012 this week so I don't have a sedan to reference but looking at the exploded diagrams graciously posted here and this video showing a 2013 Coupe, that Im guessing is proportionally close, I see the rear spacing issue. Looks like the solution for me is going to the the Phillips HID with slim line ballasts for Low and yet undetermined LED for DRL/High (if the voltage is the same for both, not determined yet) and 800-1000Lm LED for the fog lights.

No it's because the connection has an extra tab on the connector that these don't come with. It makes me sad as these are a great upgrade.

What a fantastic look. I just put in low beam HID's last weekend and also have a white 2012. Hope this thread keeps going, LEDS are the future.

From my experience the light output dims down quite a bit after prolonged use with the 2800 lumen H11 bulb.

Sounds like you are using the non fan version 2700LM's and if you are getting the factory cap closed, I don't know how they could possibly not over heat. I noted local installer that showed me a large rubber boot that looked close to the opening dia of bulb access cap. He showed the fan based LED with the fan housing "living" outside the back of the center drilled cap. My concern was how well this boot mod sealed to the light housing and kept moisture out.

Can anyone say if the voltage/current changes on the DRL/High Beam output? That would require a relay to run selected LED wide open on both DRL and High Beam use. Wish the was a more elegant way around that. A 2 phase/power LED bulb that match the factory DRL and HB Lumen output without relay

They do provide a universal boot but it is not deep enough to get a closed fit. If you try to install the bulb and the boot the boot will just sit inside the housing.
Thanks Sub, this does it for me. Its HID Low Beam only and today I was told that on the Genesis a relay is a must which is a bummer with the battery in the trunk. Hopefully there is a convenient battery tap in the engine bay.

Not sure what to do for the DRL/High beam as there is a wattage difference between the 2 and that means running the same lumen output for both DRL and High beam and another relay. I need the flash high beam option down here, can't live without that so its LED or conventional halogen bulbs.

I think the only answer is just to get the Prada lights....lol. I would go with the Xenon headlights but one is the cost of 2 Prada lights. I don't know what up with that.

Can someone tell me what the stock bulb wattage is on a 2013 base sedan? Most of the LED kits I have seen are somewhere around 40watts and some I have seen a higher wattage.

Good look on this conversion, I am working the same on a 2012 and am settling on Phillips HID. Just noticed that the battery is in the trunk and hoping for a positive tap in engine bay for the relay. Not running all the way to the back.

Don't worry, there is a battery jump point under the hood :) Not only that, but all the vehicles electronics pick up power at this jump point under the hood so there is already some nice hidden (but easily accessible) places to hook the relay harness up to. Fair amount of grounding spots around there too.

I got my HIDs hooked up with no problem. Now LEDs need to get their shit together so we can use them for high beams

Halogen DRLs really don't help this car look majestic during the day..

I recently went by a dealer who handles Morimoto XB Led's. He was kind enough to test the functionality of these lights plugged into my 2012 genesis sedan. They worked flawlessly. Turned on the car and the lights lit up bright but when I flashed the High Beam lever, they got even brighter. Obviously these work just as designed when compared to the Halogen H7.

He did say that the bulb needed an adapter of some sort to mount in the headlight assembly and would look around for this adapter. I did not see what he was talking about. These lights had a great color and will be a fantastic replacement if we can get them to mount

OMG oversize image!
