  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

does anyone have experience with the latest lexus ls460 ? Id love to see a real world comparo with our genesis 5.0 ultimate. more horses, well equipped on the ultimate and half the price.

I think hyundai took this genesis to the next level, too bad their dealerships leave a sour taste in the mouth.

i drive a 2012 LS460 sometimes. It's a much different car. the LS is softer and more cozy while still having smooth and quick acceleration.

My 2015 Genesis 3.8 is a bit rougher and crisp. Not BMW crisp, but I don't think it's suppose to be. It's just somewhere in the middle between being a sports sedan and a comfort cruiser.

I've had a Lexus for the past 4 years, and while i haven't had my Genesis serviced yet, i doubt they can even come close to how much i loved Lexus service. their service was just the top. I could call in for service, and get in the next day with a loaner! plus, they never took my drivers license or had me replace the gas in the loaner! I'd get a loaner even when my car was only going to be in there for an hour!

All that comes at a price, both in the cars price and the actual service costs. For some, that treatment a few times a year is worth paying for, for others, it is not worth it.

The last time we had this discussion, it was the Equus that was compared to the LS460, not the Genesis. Look to the GS for a Genesis comparison.

The LS460 has undergone major changes since 2012, and no longer has an overly soft cushy ride. In fact, I would bet it is as least as firm as the 2015 Genesis, although it is fairly compliant on bumpy roads. In addition, there is the F-Sport version of the LS460 that is just as firm as any German car.

I think hyundai has caught up to lexus. the 5.0 ultimate destroys the LS, add the fact that it can be had for half the cost brand new, it makes the ls460 completely irrelevant now.

the genesis 5.0 is a joy to drive, i dont want to stop driving it when i get home.

they really nailed down the suspension just right. among asian players in this category, the genesis 5.0 IMO is the top dog to beat.

But your header shows you drive a 3.8...??? Is it time to update that?
