  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Lady from my dealership phoned to-day, wanted to know if I wanted to book my 18,000km (Canada) service with them. I'm around 20,000km right now. I asked what happened on this service, she wasn't sure. She'd have a service adviser phone me to-morrow.

I've changed the oil myself every 6,000km (synthetic 5W-30) a Hyundai filter, (purchased at the stealership) and rotated the tires on the last oil change. Of course, I keep my eye on stuff like fluid levels, tire pressure etc.. Other than an issue with headlight adjustment, the car has been good.

Question: is there any regular service or maintenance that must be done by the dealer to keep the warranty in effect?

Thanks ..... RonJ

Not at such low miles and service never "must" be done at dealership. I do get the gas tank air filter and fuel filter replaced by the dealership. Also the dealership does the transmission service, but you are a long way from that.

Check the owners manual for required service that needs to be performed. In the USA by Federal Law, maintenance does not have to be performed by a dealer to maintain the original factory warranty. Probably the same in CA, but not 100% sure.
