Not a lot of integrity in this business, especially at the dealership level. There are some great ones for sure, but you never know going in what your gonna end up with.I had case reported in March, headlight was to be replaced, but it was on backorder. Then they said they have TSB. They have done it and it didn’t help at all, same issue. Now Genesis says that they won’t replace as in their words - “moisture buildup is considered acceptable”, they denied replacement claim.
Now I have to call Genesis customer service and argue with them to replace clearly defective and failed part, under warranty.
To say I’m disappointed with the brand is understatement…
How is it possible that some dealerships replace it no problem, and others won’t saying Genesis Canada denied the claim?
I had the same problem with moisture in one of the headlights. 2021 GV80 Prestige, 3.5T in London Canada. Dealer took a picture of the problem, submitted to Genesis Canada. Genesis approved and replaced headlight, no problem. My 2021 was about 2-3 years old when this happened.. Have Corp. Genesis make an appt to your dealer. They did a 1 hour test with lights on. No evaporation they replaced under warranty.Called Genesis Canada, explained the issue and what has been done so far.
They said they will investigate it and get back to me. We’ll see how this goes….
Moisture in the headlight seems to be staying now for longer and longer. Now it’s 3 days after rain and it not disappearing at all.

Did the dealer (and Justin, the service manager) offer any explanation/excuse for the refusal? I have had issues with Genesis Ottawa as well, but was able to resolve them. That I had to fight to do so was to say the least regrettable.My GV60 2023 had the problem in both headlight unit up to the point where the driver side glass cracked open (in jan 2024) and the passenger side accumulated +/- 1 litre of water and shorted the complete unit in July 2024.
Brought the car to the Dealer (in Ottawa) and they refused to proceed with replacement under warranty even if the extended warranty i bought clearly state that it will cover it.
not only that... but they knew about this problemsince Jan 2023in Genesis TSB 23-BD-002G
i actually needed to order both headlight from Korea and install them my self which took 2 days (to get the job done correctly.)
No need to say that i am SUPER HAPPY to take Getting Genesis Canada as well as Genesis Ottawa to court for +/- 15k.
I cant believe that no one for Hyundai (Genesis) in Korea is actively monitoring those forum and make proper "back channel" follow up with problematic dealership. (Well... i guess they do but... they dont).
i consider my GV60 as the best car i ever had but the dealer is killing the so called "Customer Experience" FLAT LINE...

Same here. My second G70 with the same headlight problem. First time a couple years back replaced under warranty … no problem. Now? BS and delay trying desiccant bags as per new TSB???? Problem now worse since the first desiccant bag fix! … correction. My issue is condensation in headlights.Same here. My second G70 with the same headlight problem. First time a couple years back replaced under warranty … no problem. Now? BS and delay trying desiccant bags as per new TSB???? Problem now worse since the first desiccant bag fix! Very disappointed.
