Waze is lagging in Android Auto for the last month; anyone else?

Waze is lagging on position by up to 30 seconds and missing turns. Waze also slows down the entire head processing screen, with delays on all buttons and with all Android auto apps. With Google Maps running, no delays at all and every other app in Android Auto runs just fine. The Waze effect happens with both my, and my wife's phones. Waze and all apps continue to run perfectly with both phones in my Audi, no lags and no delays.

So far have, reset head numerous times, deleted and reinstalled Waze and Android Auto on the phones; deleted and relinked phones to GV80, and cleared all caches. The OTA update did complete and have been running current software, but in an abundance of caution, I also manually reinstalled the update software via a thumb drive, reinstalled fine.

Problem continues, Any thoughts?

Looks like you have done everything I would have tried. One thing you did not mention was rebooting your phone, but I assume you did with all the installing and uninstalling.
