  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wonder where we could ever find clear, pinouts, plug locations, and interface drawings. Things like the rear plugs on the Radio, CD changer. the bottom of the multi function control knob, The dash wiring etc. This stuff exists somewhere. I modded my Nissan Murano to eliminate the Nav system initial agreement screen, added a RGB switch to the NAV screen to enable a XBOX interface, etc. We made the DVD play while in motion with just one switch place at the right spot to interrupt the "motion signal" . We also enabled rear view camera without being in reverse and also tapped into the rear view camera video line to bring all kinds of video stuff into the car including infrared red from camera. I also added neato Italian tri Horns and a selector switch for: standard horn, Italian or both at once, It was a lot of fun.

The Nissan service tech manuals have great info on everything including the sound system with speaker identification removal, amp location and pinouts. The HMaservice info is relatively difficult to navigate at least for me, and has little, easy to use, info. I bought the disk and it's no better but at least I can search from inside the car. I would be interested in encouraging more step by step info accompanied my pictures etc of project that members accomplish. Things like pictures on how to remove fog lights, opening a inside door panel. PINGGOLF did a great job on the headlight removal, Nice step by step, ( couple of pictures would be a super addition) anyway lots more stuff along that line OH and one more that was good the Always on cigarette lighter mod, had nice pictures.

The laptop using cell phone Internet connection while underway is great for my passenger. I am sure with the Aux in video coupled with a slightly different NAV-TV, there could be lots of neato possibilities. NAV-TV might be willing to develop such a product if the present unit does not keep the AUX in video alive while on the go ( I don't think it does but don't really know) There are a lot of great things being done, just look at MADDMOE's door handle lights, wow.

Any thoughts on how or even any interest in promoting Member modding? Maybe a separate place to keep all the mod info, procedures, install video clips, etc. A place were we could collect all this neat stuff being done, flesh it out so it is as useful as possible, etc. a possible idea of a specific thread devoted to a specific mod is here:

This is a good idea. I think many of us would not have the aptitude to do many of these things but I know of at least one that would be willing to pay for some of these mods. ;)
