Week old genesis damaged

Hello all, I purchased a 2016 genesis with the ultimate package last week and have been absolutely loving it. However, while in a trip to Asheville, a valet driver hit my front right corner- it’s not bad but pushed the right front bumper in a little and the proximity sensor on the bumper is loose. I didn’t notice the damage and drove off. As soon as I put the car in reverse now and random other times while driving slowely the right front sensor goes crazy for no reason.

I filed a claim with the valet, but I realize that once i drove off- they will deny the claim.

Any suggestions on how to fix or disable the sensor. I know the button on the console tturn off the sensor, but I am looking for a more permanent fix

I don't have a solution but I'm really sorry your new car got dinged. I dread the first knock I will inevitably get.

thanks. however, I did get to try out the genesis on some curvy mountain roads - love the way it drives!

Our 2015 got bumped in a parking lot 4 days after we bought it. Rear bumper scar but luckily missed the sensors. Last Friday some d...wad dinged and chipped the left passenger door while parked at a restaurant. Sheesh.
