  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So was driving today and put the rear passenger window down as it was hot, when i went to put it up it wouldnt go up, kinda got stuck half way from what i could see. When i went to examine it i noticed it was literally off track sliding up rear panel and was scratching up the rear black panel in the process.

Finally got it to go out by shifting the glass but the window is actually cracked now near where it was getting caught on rear panel....

Has this happened to anyone else???

Any idea if this would be covered under warranty? I literally put the window down and then tried to put it back up....

Any help is appreciated.

It would be covered if there is a defect in either the glass or mechanism that caused the break. If, however, it was broken from a falling branch, baseball, or whatever, then no, not covered. Glass can be damaged and not very visible until stressed.

If you have full glass coverage with your insurance it would be covered. It is a quick job to replace it. I had the front done a few weeks ago.
