  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi

I'm in a market for buying a new car.

As an owner.

Would you guys recommend the car?

What kind of issues do you guys commonly face?

How is the service?

My main concern is reliability....

I've driven the car and I like how smooth it is.

Thanks.

Ours was a CPO. I almost wish it wasn't. I know being a CPO there was extra cost factored into the purchase price. We bought an extended warranty, which made the CPO a non factor ( except for likely added cost ). That said, if you have no intention of buying an extended warranty, I'd want the CPO.

We've had no issues with our car. Service will vary by dealership. Our has been very good. However, I come from a background of "average" cars. So I'm pretty much happy with service if I'm treated well, the service issues are taken care of, and the price is not out of line. Seems like a lot of folks here complain if they don't get back rubs while their oil is being changed.

I bought a '15 CPO V8 Ultimate...

Would you guys recommend the car? Yes

What kind of issues do you guys commonly face? Squeaks and rattles mostly.

How is the service? Excellent. My local dealer treats me like I bought the car from them.

My main concern is reliability.... I've not had any issues here.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
No good reason not to. The person that buys any of my trde ins wil be getting an excellent, well cared for, never damaged, automobile. Delaers are usually careful about what cars become CPS.. You save a bundle on depreciation too.

I recently purchased a CPO 2015 AWD Ultimate. Less than 30k miles. I'm new to the Hyundai/Genesis brand having Ford SUV's for the last twenty years. I did my research, and chose Genesis after testing the comparable Audi, BMW, Lexus and M-Benz. Local dealership was a big factor as were the reports of Hyundai's rep for reliability and fantastic warranty. More importantly the Genesis just "felt better"... ergonomics, driving and overall design (IMHO).
So far, I believe I made the right choice.

The CPO price will obviously cost more. If you don't keep it that long the factory warranty should cover most if not all problems.

What I would do instead is to get free oil changes and tire rotations instead. That is a bargaining tool but I wouldn't bother with the CPO. They just add another $1,200 or so to the selling price to cover it. It is, in my opinion, mainly profit. Unless I am wrong, you would still need to take it to a Hyundai dealership regardless.

I would go for a low mileage one owner car with a clean carfax and an unwashed title. One should only consider new car dealers. Check around. I just saw a 2015 Genesis with 31K on the clock go on the market for a very competitive price. Or a 2016 model, for not that much more. This is the general sales manager's personal car and he wants to move up to a new G70 so he will be motivated himself. It is impeccable. Just fly in and drive it home.
