  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2015 Genisis 3.8 tech package. It has 400 miles on it. At least 4 times, I've heard this "bing bong" sound like it's a notification of some kind. Just now, while pulling into my parking garage it made the sound through the speakers and I had the radio down so it was very loud.

Is it notifying me of a text msg, email, or a recognized wifi signal? I read in the manual you can hook it up to your home wifi for updates, but i've never done that.

What is that sound? No dash light comes on, and there is no notification on any of the screens. I haven't heard the car make this sound for anything else. This seems very random.

It is notifying you that you are home. I assume you have your home set in your nav system?

I do have my office on there! That's probably it! My office is off the freeway, and the last time I heard I think i may have been passing my office. That's it!

The Gen 1 just puts a flag on the map. The Gen 2 seems to make an audible sound. Kind of annoying actually. But I think it can be turned off.

Yeah, i had that on my Lexus. You could turn it off. I was listening for it today and it didn't make the sound. I didn't have my nav up so that might be why.

If you go to the option to edit the entry in your navigation, there will be a check box to play notification sound or something similar. I don't remember the exact wording, but it's pretty obvious once you see it.
