  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I know that one is for the BlackBerry connection, but the other one is no where to be found in the owners manual.
Can anyone give me an idea?
Thanks to all in advance!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank You!
You just solved a 90 riddle! Drive cheerfully!:D

I've never driven with the Navigation Sound Off, so I've never seen that icon. <grin>

Until I figured out how to turn down the nav voice volume, I turned nav sound off. Then I figured it out and I get the pleasant action dings again. Or as my wife says, my Pavlov's bell ;)

PLease forgive my ignorance, BUT....
yes, the sound was turned down/off. I turned the sound bar up and the icon was still there.
Any ideas folks?
Thanks!

See page 177-178 of the Driver Information System manual. Basically, press Map, press the controller to get the options menu, and toggle the voice guidance on.

Ahhhhh....the universal solution to ALL problems in life:
RTFM.
I thought I had. Shall do and many thanks Dataguy!

Thanks guys. I have spent a long time looking for this. I somehow had convinced myself that it was some setting that dealt with auto-speed/volume adjust. Looked all through the menus and the DIS book. No idea how I turned this off in the first place. Oops.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I just noticed it. I recently had my windows tinted and rhought maybe the guy leaned on something because I've never used Nav system in this car and bam after a tear it popped on.
So glad I saw these solutions!
